The project I’m proposing for this course is one dedicated to the arts and my interests in fashion and design. I plan to create a digital magazine using Photoshop with the use of photos found on the internet and that I’ve taken as well. The mediums included will be text, photos, graphic design, and art. I will showcase how fashion in previous decades are still relevant and used in trends today. In this way, we can see the theme of cause and effect. I hope to do more research on the specifics of fashion and how styles/colours/symbols are included in fashion to represent a part of a culture and its importance. It will likely take several days since Photoshop is fairly difficult for me although I hope that my experience in previous classes will help me to surpass it. In choosing this direction for my project, I believe that it directly reflects my studies in the Arts & Culture program here at Dawson as well as my personal passion to be involved in the fashion world.
