today’s trends, you can still see very prominent aspects drawn from past styles. I was amazed by the similarities and how clothing can transcend time and be reimagined, redesigned, and repurposed. I modeled for the first time and took pictures using a film camera. During the photoshoot, I didn’t have the ability to look at the pictures and so it all came together with chance and spontaneity to see how the images turned out. I worked with them, whether they were good shots or not, to create something I was content with and happy to share. I decided on the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s because these were the most recent without being our actual decades and I was then able to discover the similarities with today. To create the digital magazine, I researched magazines from each decade and drew from those formats, colours, and compositions. I wanted each decade to feel and look like you were reading a magazine from those times. I believe that it all came together how I wanted and I’m so happy to be sharing my work!
